ABOUT SHARON HOFFMAN
Sharon has always had an innate creative talent and as a child enjoyed all kinds of creative activities. As she progressed through her secondary education Sharon expressed this innate talent outside of school. She spent many years teaching herself the creative process step by step. Her reward now is to be able to fully immerse herself in and enjoy the process of creating artwork. Sharon is a self-taught artist.
It was in 2010 that Sharon realised she wanted to pursue painting seriously whilst attending a seminar with the late Margaret McElroy. Out of nowhere Sharon decided that she wanted to paint and when she got home she bought some cheap paints and started experimenting. She enjoyed losing herself in the paint and expressing herself through different colours and brush strokes. Painting was (and still is) a very cathartic experience for Sharon.
You will notice Sharon has two distinct styles of painting. The first is the result of free unrestricted self expression. The second style of painting is more considered. It is almost as if there is a painting already formed in the ether and Sharon uses her feelings to intuit how the painting wants to look. The focus is on choosing the 'right' colours and placing paint strokes in the 'right' place. After that it is a process of tidying up and making sure lines are smooth and impactful. Sharon has found that these paintings embody healing messages which are pertient to experiences she is having in her life. When you look at these paintings you are not just enjoying a beautiful painting, you are also receiving healing energy which will help you in your life.
